arrived in copenhagen... reboot8
on my way to copenhagen I read in the red herring, that denemark has the largest internet penetration in the world. wow. Mikael, spreadshirt country manager for sweden and denmark told me, that in sweden it's as large in the dense populated areas. only sweden would have more countryside which dilutes the numbers. fair enough.
train connection from the airport to center copenhagen takes barely 15 minutes. trains leave every 10 minutes. maybe one should add this facts under the keyword "convenient" at wikipedia...
first dissapointment: the train to the city does not have any wifi. the long distance trains have this since 3 years. wow.
first positive surprise when arriving to the center: there is a theme park (tivoli) just at the station and in the heart of the city. cool. did NOT visit it by the way... to have a reason for coming back :)
also nice: pedestraian lights with a counter next to the green light, so you know how long you have for the phase. practical.
I will not write about the reboot conference itself too much, since 100derts of other blogs already did. only so much: 500 participants from all over europe, very relaxed atmosphere, web2.0, blogging, interenet and other "geek" stuff as the topics there. and: atendees with interesting shoes.
to learn more about the reboot, pls search technorati for reboot or reboot8.
Beautifull architecture. Nice people. But nothing that you would call cheap (unless you are from London, NYC or Paris...). Copenhagen is very bikey, btw.
and pretty civilized. supposedly the or at least one of the celanest cities in europe. hmmm, not sure. at least at 5 o clock in the morning after a friday night this deos not seem to be the case...
Copenhagen is also very nice when seen from a distortion-festival-pary-ferry at dawn... wow
